Roka Kitsuregawa (喜連川路夏 Kitsuregawa Roka) is the main heroine of Cross Days.

Background[]

Roka is the only daughter of Mrs. Kitsuregawa and Shun Hazama. Growing up in Haramihama, she attended the same middle school as Makoto, Otome, Ai, and Hanon, the second of whom bullied her because of her mother's profession as a "water vendor".

Upon enrolling in Sakakino High, Roka became part of the girls' basketball team, looking up to Chie as her sempai.

Appearance[]

Roka is a pale-complected girl with blue eyes, and burgundy hair which she ties into two loose ponytails. For reference, she's taller than Setsuna and shorter than Sekai and has measurements similar to the latter.

School Days[]

In the original visual novel, she doesn't make an appearance, but in the scene where four generic girls are discussing the video they secretly recorded, one of them is mentioned to be Roka. It's very probable this is the same Roka because in the HQ version, that scene is retconned to have Roka and her friends in place of the generic girls. In the HQ version of the visual novel, she and her friends are responsible for taping the sexual acts between many people in the break room. It's then revealed this is the first time she's seen anyone have sex. She replies shut up when asked if she's a virgin. They all then decide to invite everyone who was captured in the video to view it together.

When viewing the video, it is revealed that Roka fancied Makoto. Roka said that is a "total shock" when he got a girlfriend, although she doesn't like him THAT much.

In the ending Lending out Makoto, she is mentioned as one of the customers who sleeps with Makoto.

Visual Novel[]

Roka first sees Yuuki at the library, but isn't properly introduced to him until later that evening at the Ashikaga residence. She begins developing feelings for him, but due to a misunderstanding, believes him to be dating Hikari Kuroda. In certain routes, she recruits Makoto in a plot to make Yuuki jealous by going around the festival with him.

Manga[]

Roka initially mistakes Yuuki for a pervert, the latter having walked in on her changing in the girls' locker room. When Chie attempts to matchmake them, Roka mocks Yuuki's "unmanliness", increasing tensions between them until Chie tricks both of them into meeting at Sweets Ohara, where they get to know each other a little better.

Tensions increase yet again when Roka becomes jealous of Yuuki's crush on Kotonoha and she accepts Makoto's help in making Yuuki her boyfriend, unaware of Makoto's predatory nature.

Etymology[]

Her given name Roka (路夏) consists of "path" (路) and "summer" (夏).
She is surnamed after the Kitsuregawa clan.
