However, a misunderstanding between her and Yuuki causes Roka to be dragged into the problem between the latter with Kotonoha and Makoto.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
School Days[edit | edit source]
In the original visual novel, she doesn't make an appearance, but in the scene where four generic girls are discussing the video they secretly recorded, one of them is mentioned to be Roka. It's very probable this is the same Roka because in the HQ version that scene is edited to have her and her friends in there in place of the generic girls. In the HQ version of the visual novel, she and her friends are responsible for taping the sexual acts between many people in the break room. It's then revealed this is the first time she's seen anyone have sex. She replies shut up when asked if she's a virgin. They all then decide to invite everyone who was captured in the video to view it together.
When viewing the video, it is revealed that Roka fancied Makoto. Roka said that is a "total shock" when he got a girlfriend, although she doesn't like him THAT much.
Shiny Days[edit | edit source]
In the ending Lending out Makoto, she is one of the customers who sleeps with Makoto.

Visual Novel[edit | edit source]
Roka first sees Yuuki at the library, but isn't properly introduced to him until later that evening at the Ashikaga residence. She begins developing feelings for him, but due to a misunderstanding, believes him to be dating Hikari Kuroda. In certain routes, she recruits Makoto, a former middle school acquaintance, in a plot to make Yuuki jealous by going around the festival with Makoto.
Most endings have her and Yuuki end up as a couple. In "Fallen Into Darkness", it's revealed that Roka ultimately became Makoto's girlfriend and that she now prostitutes herself. In "Only Love and Courage", she breaks things off with Yuuki when she realizes that he's been cheating on her with Ai Yamagata.
Manga[edit | edit source]
Roka initially mistakes Yuuki for a pervert, the latter having walked in on her changing in the girls' locker room. When Chie attempts to matchmake them, Roka mocks Yuuki's "unmanliness", increasing tensions between them until Chie tricks both of them into meeting at Sweets Ohara, where they get to know each other a little better.
Tensions increase yet again when Roka becomes jealous of Yuuki's crush on Kotonoha and she accepts Makoto's help in making Yuuki her boyfriend, unaware of Makoto's predatory nature. To that end, she accepts Makoto's invitation to go to Aqua Square with his friends as well as Yuuki. While there, she explains to "Yuu" (a cross-dressed Yuuki) that Makoto isn't her boyfriend and that she has someone she already likes. As the group leaves, Roka is confronted by Kotonoha and warned not to get too close to Makoto.
Roka eventually decides to confess her feelings to Yuuki on her own. Makoto, however, attempts to sabotage her confession and to rape her, causing "Yuu" to intervene and punch Makoto, ultimately exposing "Yuu" as Yuuki. Roka later tells Chie what happened and takes her sempai's advice to not jump to any conclusions. The next time she goes to talk to Yuuki, she ends up saving him from a suicide attempt at Gakuenmae and later smacks some sense into him when he begins ranting that everything he did was in vain.
At the school festival, Roka tells Yuuki about the rumor that any couple who dances around the bonfire will always remain a couple before asking him to dance, which he accepts.
