I'll Never Love Again endings refers to a trio of endings which are Earnest Feelings Requited (for Otome), Love Fulfilled (for Sekai) and With Kotonoha (for, obviously, Kotonoha) and are named so for the episode 5 name of the route. These endings all share a route until right before the ending at which point there's 3 splits for each ending.

The episode starts with a recap of what happened the previous episode and then shows Makoto Itou and Taisuke Sawanaga talking on the phone. Taisuke is upset that Makoto stole Sekai Saionji right in front of him, but forgives him on the condition that he introduce him to someone. Makoto then decides to set Taisuke and Hikari Kuroda together. He then breaks up with Kotonoha, still feeling guilty and hoping she'd hate him instead of Sekai. The next day, Otome comes over to Makoto while he and Sekai are having lunch. She asks him if he was at Aqua Square recently and figures out she went the same day as him. They talk about their old days and Sekai becomes slightly jealous at how close they are. Makoto promises that he and Otome aren't like that and are just close friends. He then chooses to ignore the problem when Sekai says she's not mad. As they're about to leave school, Kotonoha asks to talk with Sekai. Kotonoha, not aware Makoto's dating Sekai, reveals that she's been dumped and asks Sekai if she knows who Makoto is dating.
Kotonoha threatening to kill whoever Makoto's dating
Right before Sekai tells Kotonoha it's her, Kotonoha pulls out a fruit knife and declares her intention to kill whoever Makoto is dating and then herself. But she thinks it's Otome and decides she can't kill someone as fit as her. Kotonoha then reveals she saw Makoto kissing someone at the pool; Sekai, apparently having forgotten that it was her or feeling insecure, starts to suspect Makoto is cheating on her with Otome. During the evening, Makoto calls Otome and spends the entire night talking with her. The next day, Makoto reveals he spent the entire night talking with Otome. However Kotonoha, having heard Otome talk with her friends, think that they had sex all night. Sekai clears it up during PE and Nanami Kanroji introduces her and Otome.
During class, Makoto asks why Sekai's been asking about Otome and she accuses him of cheating on her with Otome. The whole class hears it and almost everyone becomes interested in what's going on. Nanami informs Otome of what's going on and asks if it's true. Otome denies it, but reveals she has a crush on Makoto. Nanami then wishes her luck if Sekai gets dumped. Makoto asks to talk everything over with Sekai and goes up to the roof with her. Sekai accuses him of kissing Otome at the pool, and when Makoto denies it, she says Kotonoha saw him. Kotonoha then begs Makoto to date her again. Makoto, backed into a corner, chooses to not date anyone and calm down to think about everything. This whole event is witnessed by key individuals and becomes a big topic of gossip in school.
Final Episode - Earnest Feelings Requited/Love Fulfilled/With Kotonoha[]
Sekai is with Setsuna Kiyoura at her home and is worried Makoto hates her now despite Setsuna telling her that she's thinking too hard. Kotonoha is also at home thinking about Makoto and becomes determined to be strong because she's still his girlfriend. Otome is walking her dog near Makoto's apartment, most likely thinking about him. Makoto is home alone in bed, thinking things over.
The next day, Makoto sees that Sekai is absent and Setsuna asks him to visit her. Makoto says he'll go, for which Setsuna is grateful. In Otome's class, the trio informs her of what happened and are surprised that Makoto didn't choose either of them. The trio also mentions that this is Otome's chance to get together with Makoto and encourages her. Makoto then goes with Taisuke to lunch, but Taisuke has forgotten that Hikari was making lunch for him, earning him a smack.
Makoto then goes to the cafeteria to have lunch and meets Otome. She confesses to Makoto, saying that she's been in love with him since junior high. Makoto replies that he understands, but he can't reply right now. Recent developments are discussed by random girls offscreen. After school, Kotonoha asks Makoto to go home with her, but Makoto says he's going to Sekai's and they both go. Sekai and Makoto talk and she apologizes for all the trouble she's caused. Makoto then says he doesn't mind it at all and she's someone he cares about. Makoto goes home and is surprised to find his little sister Itaru there, having run away from home. Makoto and Itaru spend time together and he talks about his feelings to Itaru, even if she doesn't fully understand it. Makoto just feels better talking about it to someone.

The next day, Makoto runs into Otome at the train station and she asks if she's bothering him, to which he answers that she isn't. Otome then says that she'll be waiting for him at the beach were they and all their junior high friends used to hang out. If he decides to choose her, he should come; if not, she'll give up. During school, Sekai and Kotonoha both want to have lunch with Makoto. He refuses to choose either of them and Kotonoha leaves. Makoto and Sekai then have lunch and Sekai invites him to her apartment to see the new coat she just bought. She then sees a text from Kotonoha on Makoto's phone saying she'll be waiting downstairs and says she'll be waiting at her home. After school, Taisuke gives Makoto some advice saying that he should do what feels right and to give it his best.
Makoto decides to settle the matter once and for all.
He wonders if he has any right to simply run away from Sekai and Kotonoha, but realizes he loves Otome more than anyone else. He then goes to the beach and confesses to her. The two then run into Kotonoha outside Makoto's apartment complex, where he apologizes to her. In Makoto's bedroom, Otome says that because it's been a one-sided thing for so long, she's scared. Makoto then assures her that she's the only one who has his attention now and he understands because it always felt so natural for them to be together that he never thought about her in a romantic way. They then proceed to have sex.
In a post-credits scene, Makoto and Otome are arguing about something and the trio discuss that they've been arguing almost every day after they started going out. Kumi Mori says that if things get any worse, they might break up. However, Natsumi Koizumi states that the two of them are getting along just fine and shows a picture of them kissing. She mentions that because Otome is so outspoken, they'll naturally end up fighting sometimes.
Love Fulfilled[]
The next day, Makoto runs into Otome at the train station who asks if she's bothering him and he says yes. They then share an awkward train ride to school. Sekai comes to school and says that ultimately all she can do is keep trying her best like she always does. During school, Sekai and Kotonoha both want to have lunch with Makoto; he chooses Sekai and Kotonoha leaves with an angry expression. Makoto and Sekai then have lunch and she invites him to her home to see the new coat she just bought, wanting him to be the first one to see it. She then sees a text from Kotonoha on Makoto's phone saying that she'll be waiting downstairs and says that she'll be waiting at her home. Sekai's still waiting for Makoto outside her home when Setsuna comes to visit her. Setsuna says it's already nighttime and she should go inside before she freezes. Sekai is worried Makoto won't come and Setsuna mentions Hikari heard that Makoto made plans with Kotonoha too. Sekai then becomes more worried since she only told him to come and didn't make any official plans with her, and thinks that means he isn't coming. Setsuna says that if Makoto doesn't come she has to respect his decision and give up on him. Sekai says she can't do that and feels regret for not trusting him. To her surprise, Setsuna makes Makoto appear, having dragged him over from where he's been standing too afraid to face Sekai. Makoto apologizes for everything he's done and Sekai runs over to embrace him and they confess their love to each other. Setsuna then walks away, having successfully put the couple together.
Quite a while later
In a post-ending scene, they're still together months later next summer and Sekai asks Makoto to look again at the camera and says that they have to take lots of pictures and leave lots of memories.
With Kotonoha[]
The next day Makoto, runs into Otome at the train station who asks if she's bothering him and he says yes. They then share an awkward train ride to school. Sekai comes to school and says that ultimately all she can do is keep trying her best like she always does. During school, Sekai and Kotonoha both want to have lunch with Makoto; he chooses Kotonoha and goes to the roof with her. Kotonoha asks to go to Makoto's house after school and intends to spend all of Saturday there too. Makoto reveals this to Sekai who begs Makoto to come to her place instead. After school, Taisuke gives Makoto some advice saying that he should do what feels right and to give it his best.
Taisuke and Hikari are talking about the current situation during their train ride and Taisuke says whichever girl he chooses will be the one he loves so there's no point in worrying about it. They then run into Kotonoha on her way to Makoto's home. Hikari tries to stop her by saying he's going to Sekai's, but Taisuke tells her to calm down.
Kotonoha relishes her victory
Kotonoha then asks if Makoto's going to see Sekai and Taisuke says she sort of told him to come and doesn't know if he's actually going. Kotonoha says she only told him she'd be coming and isn't sure how he'll respond. Taisuke then says if he really loves her he'll come and if he doesn't she should respect his decision and give up on him. He also mentions that he's hoping Makoto chooses her. Kotonoha meets with Makoto outside his home and the scene ends.
In a post-ending scene, it's the morning and Kotonoha and Makoto had sex last night. Kotonoha's phone rings and Makoto sees it's from Kokoro. Kotonoha tells him to not pick up as she's just learned to make video calls and it could be bad. Makoto still feels he should pick up and reach an understanding with her and tries to set it to voice only, but fails to push the button and Kotonoha is seen by Kokoro naked, with a satisfactory victory sign.
Trivia[]
- The black car seen in the menu picture after With Kotonoha greatly resembles a second generation Lexus RX, or a second generation Toyota Harrier as it would be in Japan at the time. This car is also seen in the I'm His Wife menu picture, albeit very small. In Summer/Shiny Days, it's shown to be Mr. Katsura's car.
- The red car is a Porsche of some kind, and resembles a Porsche 911 the most. In Summer/Shiny Days, it's shown to be Manami Katsura's car.
